Unlike other campaign settings, which are strongly geared towards one kind of campaign (Forgotten Realms vs Ravenloft vs Dark Sun, etc), Golarion is a world where different kinds of Campaigns share the same world. Well, Paizo's world of Golarion, originally built for 3.5, then reused for Pathfinder 1st edition, remains my current favorite Fantasy RPG Campaign setting (right ahead of Eberron), because it's also one of the best Fantasy Kitchen Sink settings I've seen.
